Commercial janitorial workers are members of the essential services workforce, yet their contributions to our communities are often overlooked. During an infectious disease pandemic, commercial janitorial workers were vital to keeping critical infrastructure operations going by providing essential cleaning and disinfecting services. But even before the pandemic and now in its wake, BSCs play a vital role in keeping facilities clean, safe, and healthy.

America’s BSCs operate in each of the 50 states and employ more than 3.2 million people. The CCA advocates on behalf of these essential workers, asking the United States Congress and Administration to support targeted measures that will help ensure the continuity of BSCs’ business operations and ongoing employment for this essential workforce.

“The Coalition gives voice to an important group of essential workers,” said Josh Feinberg, President of the Cleaning Coalition of America.
